Forgery #19 - Scottish 1767 Sampler Kit

This fun and unique Scottish sampler dated 1767 contains a very distinctive flower band near the top. The diamond  pattern band towards the bottom of the sampler along with the zig zag border seem to break all the rules of symmetry - but that is what I find fun about this piece. The decorative alphabet, crowns,   initials and dominate red and green colors are typical to   Scottish samplers from this time period.

Finished Size: 7 7/8” x 15 5/8”
Fabric: 40 count Natural Brown Linen

Stitches Used: Cross Stitch, Double Running, Rice Stitch, Algerian Eye and Alternating Double Backstitch.
