Forgery #21 - Mary Grimshaw 1805 Sampler Kit

Mary Grimshaw 1805 is a nice example of an Ackworth School Quaker medallion sampler. Typical to many Quaker medallion samplers, Mary has stitched every letter of the alphabet scattered among the motifs. Mary includes the initials E.G. and a cartouche contains M.G. to H.G. (possibly family members) and dates the sampler with 1805 in three places.

Finished Size: 14” x 18”
Fabric: 40 count Newcastle Cream Linen

Stitches Used: Cross Stitch, Eyelet and Cross Stitch Over One.
