The Needleworker’s Pocketbook is designed to hold your threads and sewing tools. My inspiration for the embroidery came from the 1772 Ann Wade sampler which is documented in the Norfolk Sampler Book by Joanne Martin Lukacher.

The Online Tutorial will provide complete instructions and materials for the Pocketbook,  6” Ruler with materials for the embroidered insert and coordinating Thread Cutter.  The Tutorial offers countless learning opportunities, all in one project. You will experience working with two types of silk thread, several stitching techniques and simple hand-work assembly (no sewing machine required).

The Needleworker’s Pocketbook in the closed position is  7 1/2“ x 4 1/4“ and 7 1/2” x 10 1/2” when open.
